Confidence vote: LFI will only support a Socialist Party government if it has a "breakthrough program," says Mathilde Panot

"We do not want to participate in a tinkering that allows, in one way or another, the continuation of Macron's policies," she warned.
On Friday, the First Secretary of the Socialist Party, Olivier Faure, called on Emmanuel Macron to appoint a prime minister from the left and promised a change in his governing method. He notably pledged "not to use Article 49-3," the article of the Constitution that allows texts to be adopted without a vote.
He also indicated on Sunday that such a government would not include Insoumis ministers.
